Music that Matters
Acie Cargill

Acie Cargill teams up with other Cargill Family members & The Morgans for another American Music oral history CD. This CD is a  fascinating depiction of what life was like for settlers traveling to Oklahoma and discovering the people already there. The oral history approach describes the America that I figure many people think of when they say God Bless America. The CD made me imagine the story of different Indian tribes moving into OK and everyone figuring out how to live together as unique. They were followed by settlers like the Cargill family. How nice to be riding horses in the beautiful state of OK while wondering who you might meet for friendship or romance. I think teachers in schools across the USA should play these Acie CD’s to let their students know what America once was like. These CD's would expose them to the Cargill family’s adventure across America from Oklahoma to Paducah. For more info or to purchase: buffalogalpromotions.com

I must say I'm amazed. Acie took a topic - Calumet (area directly south of Chicago, Illinois) and really did an incredible description of what has happened over the years. I like it. Although I don't know who the audience might be. It could be everyone and anyone. It's like a Woody Guthrie presentation about Calumet. I think this CD is just too amazing for the public. If I were to try to market it I'd be looking towards the library or the museums or even Hollywood. Good job Acie.
